Yes! Our turkeys arrive at Lindenhof when they are only a day or two old. We start them inside a warm and safe brooder pen, and then gradually move them outside when they reach 6-weeks old. They spend the remainder of their lives on pasture enjoying fresh air, fresh forage, and local grain. Portable enclosures keep them safe and comfortable as they feed and grow.

We estimate needing 1.5 pounds per person or 2 pounds per person if you want some leftovers.
-
If you have preordered a size and want a particular # of pounds within that range, your best bet is to show up early to market or come early to the farm. We will have the widest selection at the start of each market/farm pick up. Thank you for understanding!
-
You could order a larger size and have leftovers! Or you can order a smaller size plus an extra breast (if you love white meat) or extra wings or leg/thigh (if you love dark meat).
-
Yes! Put it in the bottom back of your fridge to keep it as cold as possible until you cook it on Thursday. If you’re worried, you could always come pick it up at a different market or directly from the farm.
-
No, we only have pick up by appt during the year or drop in whenever the Mon-Wed before Thanksgiving for turkey pick up. You can preorder other eggs/meat to pick up with your turkey at the farm but we dont sell vegetables or anything else.
-
There are so many wonderful vendors at each of the farmers markets we sell at that have wonderful items to pair with your turkey for Thanksgiving! All of the 4 markets we attend are open year round and outside with delicious items! If you pick up at North Star Orchard, they have a building with various vegetables/fruit from their farm and other local items. And if you pick up at the farm, there are a few local Amish stands within a mile or two of our farm with fresh items! Feel free to ask one of us when you’re at the farm where to go.
-
Please place any preorders to go with your turkey the week before the Thanksgiving markets begin. We will be closing preorders on 11/18. Please preorder anything you’d like to get with your turkey on that Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. If you miss the preorder cut off, please come early to market to have the widest selection of our other items. Our other suggestion is to stock up on what you need besides your turkey, the week before turkey pick up. Our eggs are good for 6 weeks after the lay date sticker on the carton! Thank you!
