Thanksgiving Turkeys

We have pasture-raised, locally-fed, processed-fresh for your Thanksgiving celebrations, deliciously tasting turkeys for sale with pick up available at 6 locations! 

Life at Lindenhof

All of our turkeys arrive at Lindenhof Farm when they are only a day or two old. We start them inside a warm and safe brooder pen and then gradually move them outside when they reach 6 weeks old. They spend the remainder of their lives on pasture enjoying fresh air, fresh forage, and local grain. Portable enclosures keep them safe and comfortable as they feed and grow.

What kind of turkey is available?

We have 2 types of turkeys available for the holidays. We grow white broad-breasted turkeys and heritage turkeys. Our white turkeys range in size from 9-25+ pounds and are the classic larger white turkey you probably grew up eating. They are larger, grow faster and make fantastic Thanksgiving turkeys. Our heritage range from 6-16+ pounds roughly, though these are always a bit harder to estimate. A heritage turkey is similar to the kinds of turkeys the pilgrims ate. They are smaller in size with a smaller breast, a lot more dark meat and a richer flavor.

HERTIAGE TURKEYS:

Small Heritage Turkey. 6-10 lbs ($11.45/lb)

Medium Heritage Turkey 11-15 lbs ($11.45/lb)

Large Heritage Turkey 16+ lbs ($11.45/lb)

TURKEY PARTS:

Small Whole Turkey Breast     3-5 lbs ($11.50/lb)

Large Whole Turkey Breast 6-9+ lbs ($11.50/lb)

Turkey Leg & Thigh           3-6 lbs ($6/lb)

Turkey Wings                      2-4 lbs ($5/lb)

Note: You will need to pay a $30 deposit to reserve your turkey; the remainder of your turkey cost will be due at pick-up.

*West Chester Grower’s Market: Saturday, November 21, 9am-1pm. Located at the corner of Church and Chestnut Streets in the Borough of West Chester, PA

*Kennett Square Farmer’s Market: Monday, November 23, 3-5:30 pm. Located at 401 Birch St., Kennett Square, PA 19348

*Eagleview Market: Tuesday, November 24, 3-6 pm. Located at 570 Wellington Square, Exton, PA 19341

*North Star Orchard: Tuesday, November 24, 12-5pm. Located at 3232 Limestone Rd, Cochranville, PA 19330

*Oakmont Market: Wednesday, November 25, 2:30-5:30 pm. Located at 1 West Eagle Rd., Havertown, PA 19083

*Lindenhof Farm: Monday-Wednesday, 11/23-11/25 from 9 am -3 pm. Located at 2170 Kirkwood Pike, Kirkwood, PA 17536. (Follow the long straight paved road to the barn at the bottom). No appointment is needed for farm turkey pick-up if you have a pre-order and are coming during the allotted hours listed above. You do not have to let us know which day you’re coming.
